2008 Show Announcement – An Arcata Ago

Back in 2008 Arcata celebrated its 150 years as a city. At the time, Meridian Fine Art had a studio just off the Arcata Plaza and to help celebrate we teamed up Humboldt State University’s Special Collections department and produced a traveling show. On display were digitally re-mastered prints documenting a range of industry, agriculture, and architecture from the 1880s-1960s. To view the collection click here.

Meridian Fine Art, along with Humboldt State University interns Amber Agent and Niall Keegan produced a portfolio of thirty-seven prints with historic commentary provided by Susie Van Kirk. Additional assistance was provided by Michelle Hernandez, Wiyot Tribe Intern with cultural information provided by Hélène Rouvier, Wiyot Cultural Director.
