Marj Early is a Eureka artist working with watermedia. She is known
for her imagery depicting scenes of rivers, beaches, boats, and
lighthouses as well as for her figure paintings of local people
and fly fishers. Marj is a retired Art Teacher from the San
Francisco Bay Area. She has studied art in community colleges
and San Jose State University and has attended workshops in color,
design and figure studies with Dale Laitinen, Don Andrews, A
lex Powers and Sergei Bongard. Her influences include Edward
Hopper and J. W. Turner as well as Winslow Homer,a fly fishing
artist and master watercolorist.
