Here we see Indian women wearing the traditional Salwar (pants)
Kameez (shirt) and Dupata (scarf) are carefully picking out
fruit at the market, or kotwali bazaar of lower Dharamsala.
In 2002 Susan made a trip to India where she met the Dalai Lama
and the Karmapa, studied Tibetan Buddhism at the Tibetan
Library of Works and Archives, and gave talks to the Montessori
teachers at the Tibetan Children’s Villages in and around
Dharamsala, India.
Susan Mayclin Stephenson is an American Impressionist living
on the North Coast of California. She travels often for her
work as an education consultant. Her paintings frequently
recapture her impressions and emotions from meeting people
and experiencing places from all around the world.
