I have lived in Humboldt County my entire adult life. My photography career began here
when Tom Knight, a dear teacher, looked into my eyes and told me I had to dig deeper. I
discovered then that photography was more than just pictures of things. What does this
have to do with this portfolio? Maybe nothing, but since graduating in 1992 (with an
MA in Art) I have photographed remarkably little in my own backyard preferring instead
the desert wilderness of southeastern California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. This portfolio
will grow significantly in 2010.
