Abraded Petroglyphs, Navajo Nation, Arizona, 2003
Abraded Petroglyphs was photographed in the afternoon of
August 23, 2003. A close look at these rocks will reveal
petroglyphs that have been rubbed out or intentionally abraded.
This site, within the Little Colorado River Basin is along the
ancient route traveled by the Hopi during their annual
salt gathering journeys to the Grand Canyon.
