I frequently work in series. When a photograph is seen in the context of another,
a dialogue forms. I enjoy being involved in this relationship and generally work
within self-directed projects with the intention of making photographs that
belong with one another.
The Road Series is such a project. This series is primarily from desert roads and
highways. I add new photographs whenever I have the good fortune to drive long
distances. I enjoy a good destination but the journey to and fro often serves as
the best opportunity to see something unexpected. Rule number one for me, avoid
the Interstates with a passsion. If I can't stop and do u-turn in
the middle of the road then the camera might as well be broken.
